Wanted! Inspiring children 5-12 years to model for a new style of portrait.

Hello! I (Norah) am on the lookout for children with awesome personalities within Wellington to be the star of an Impasto Photography artwork which will be featured on my new website. 

Being able to sit still and “be good” is absolutely not required. It’s often the more rebellious children who are more naturally unguarded in front of the camera, and can readily produce photographs where their personalities shine through (in between the faces they sometimes like to pull of course!).  

So, what is Impasto Photography? It’s a blend of photography and traditional painting. We take professional photographs, which are then hand painted digitally, printed on canvas, then have physically painted details and impasto texture painted over the top. 

The final artwork has all the wow factor of a traditionally painted portrait, with the exact likeness and spontaneity of facial expression that only photography can achieve.
